Missing 2 days
Its been so tedious that it did slip outta my mind that I am supposed to update a blog.
dance practice, skits, gags, confirming event schedules, food orders, bill boards, last minute entries er et all!!!!
In a nut shell, we discussed, shortlisted & finalized one vendor for dinner on the d-day. We brainstormed on polishing our acts & attending to the finer details of the event. This is all i can remember about yesterday :(
Today morning saw BP workin on the billboard till evening. A straight 6 hour time sheet, he was aided by Bhargav & Darshan & special thanks to Abeer, Sneha & Babloo who invested good amount of time in taking some load off BP. At the end, we were quite happy with the results.
Late evening at 9, we saw more than 20 kids attending the screening session for the fashion show. Mithun, Manisha di and many more helped the kids pick the styles & they were quite good at it. We had the entire gang of volunteers walkin in today for the meet. They continued as per schedule & i am sure they are still up while I am penning this post.
I took off very early today sighting personal reason & promise to pick up on the lost ones tomorrow,
Also, I would like to apologize for providing you all with too less information on the activities as my glucose levels are down, have lost a few finger nails, i haven't seen my shower since 2 days & kitchen sink looks like someone just had a reception party with food for 300.
I promise to be back with a bang with lots more updates on the unforeseen challenges we face in the next 2 days. I m absolutely sure that its gonna gross more than the movie Avatar.
Keep smilin as u know i never complain about colored teeth.!!!

baap re baap!
at around 2 in the morning (thats the time we just wrapped up for the day) here i am updating u on some exciting activities surrounding the new year eve.
Post 11PM, loads of frantic discussions on various things sucked up all the energy & made everyone crash onto their beds. I am still up milking some of the energy i gained from bourbon biscuits & special mangalore nippats (thanks to mithun's mom)!!!
Everyone had a hard day today...Lemme begin with the noon stuff!
a mela in the making, we all gathered in our new flat (courtesy-Uday's dad) for the practice & everyone assembled for the final screening. We had Kiran di to walk in first with our troupe of Mithun, Uday, BP followed by Harsha, Bhargav, Babloo, Pramod, Prashant. We freaked on some butter cookies before we welcomed all the tiny tots for the screening. Chetan (our laptop aid) & Manisha di with their siblings joined us & Sanjana di (pls correct me if I am wrong) with her gang jumped in for the act.
What followed was a grueling session of practice, editing, multiple suggestions, what not! the kids really received the inputs & feedback in a positive manner & showed aggression in improving their performances. Man, all were damn good but our lady volunteers just prompted to tweek it a bit & all we had was a happy ending with the kids promising their best performance on the dias.
Minus the kids, we decided to do the routine of practicing our dance followed by the the Bench boys! They floored the audience & received sincere appreciations from one & all.
The ladies had to take off & we decided to head for a snack when the rain gods decided to embrace us.
Being stuck in the flat with no one to feed, we continued our journey! loads of practice!!!!!!
With drops of sparkling water on our heads, we decided to head to all the blocks of skyline to cover the flats who promised us funds for the event. The next one hour saw Abeer,Mithun, Uday, BP & Aditya work their a$$ off to make sure they cover each and every 1200 sqft.
Whatta effort! it was around 8:50Pm & since the meeting was scheduled at 9PM, we decided to head to Block V basement & make the basic arrangements for the meet.
I headed out for a quick grub & on my return I was welcomed by some new faces who were eager to be a part of this event.
Komal, Bhavana, Shreya & Vidya had already exchanged pleasantries with the gang of Mithun, Kiran di, Uday, BP, Abeer & Chetan. Manisha di & sudhir joined us later. We discussed on various issues & we were happy to have the new team gellin well with all o them & pumping new ideas into the acts.
A few performances in front of the new crowd (new attendees) saw welcomed suggestions from them. Post their departure, was a brainstorming on the culinary aspects for the d-day. Manisha di hung on for quite a while until her kids wanted to hit the sack.
A debate that followed for more than 2 hours arrived at a conclusion of finalizing on the menu for dinner on the d-day plus the labor involved in arranging it. The most laborious task of any event was well directed by the entire team & we hope to see the daylight for this task tomorrow evening. With major tasks being given to BP & Uday, we hope to seal the deal in the next 2 days. Abeer warmly invited the task of gathering more heads for the dances & arranging drinking water facility for the audience with the help of UD. Thanks to them as they address the most needed!
Other finer aspects of the event were discussed for long & we ended the day at 2 in the morning with a good night!
Now, with the least energy to even bid goodbye, i end this post with a warm hug to all!

Saturday
Hmmm! not a very productive day in terms on individuals but some of our members really had a hard day!
But see what happens when you give half a day's off to your volunteers!
They go rallying, bungee jumping, go karting, what not!!!! The moment Vinay & Mithun sensed freedom post lunch, they hit the gas to THE CLUB to participate in the night rally. They bagged the 4th spot along with lots of flying kisses from the cheerleaders! (The picture clearly reveals them both eyeballing the pretty young things)!! Not to mention, Chetan had to be there to bring them back from some new club near Marthahalli which was their last stop & their destination to end the rally with cocktails! :)
Back home, some of our volunteers (Uday, Abeer, BP, Harsha, Bhargav, Pramod & kiran di) chose otherwise & covered Block II & III for the funds., post lunch. It was a 6 hour ordeal for them to seek approvals, get the paper work right, choose the right time to visit & they all wrapped up with a good collection. Thank you all!
Today, the events lined up are screening for fashion shows, polishing our dancing skills & sub consciously pray for our men in blue in sealing the series with a 4-1 win!
I had to skip work since last noon as I had a special visitor @ home. I am back today blazing all guns & raring to go. We wud kick start our day at 10 & check back again late in the night for updates on todays activities.

I am facing some technical glitches in having the photo album of the rehearsals uploaded on the blog which should have appeared as a slideshow on the top of the blog. I just gave a missed call to Bill Gates & I received an auto-reply message from him saying that my missed call has been received & a ticket has been generated. He would soon get back to me on my query to solve this.
Though this blog belongs to Larry & Sergey (Google founders), I am pretty sure that Gates has better answers to these kinda queries.
Also, I was informed from my close sources at Micro soft that Billy is too busy nursing Tiger Woods, in the WOODS! (now i know! why u hold important meetings behind closed doors! or woods!!) whateva!! :)

Thursday & Friday! this is big!!
Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!
yeah! i know! no updates since yesterday & many were fuming! man! since last noon we have picked so much pace that we hardly had the time to catch good sleep.
Since this is a long weekend, everyone had the time to invest in shaping this event & we have witnessed a big turnout since last noon.
Thursday night was damn tiring as we worked 5 hours straight from 9 to 2 in the morning. we worked on new gags, practiced on the old ones, what not! Abeer was the first to turn up followed by Mithun, BP, UD & me. Kiran di & Anupama di joined us & later saw Vinay, Chetan & Aditya walk in to join us. 30 mins of dance practice & kiran & anupama di took leave. We continued practicing our gags, brainstorming on editing most of the gags & its come out pretty neat & improved.
At the stroke of midnight, we all exchanged christmas wishes & sipped on some wine. :-)
around 12:30 in the morning, Vinay & Chetan bid us goodbye & the rest of the gang continued to burn more calories. Abeer who had left for the day around 11 turned up again at the stroke of midnight, she said she dint really want to miss on the new gags & she too bagged a meaty role in some of them. Thanks Abeer for the support & involvement. Just that dont forgot to treat us on ur home made sweets on the d-day! :)
At the stroke of 2am, we decided to take a break & regroup in a couple of hours. Abeer left for home & Mithun, BP, Aditya & UD dived straight onto the dining table at my place. We have packed some biryani from Deewar & the 5 hungry dogs hogged so bad that I guess the chickens were thinking " ye saale log haddi bhi nahi chodd te" :)
3 in the morning, no one knows who crashed in which room & space, we opened eyes only at 10am.
12 noon (friday).....entire team regrouped. We also saw new additions from block VI & III. Bala uncle joined us & we decided to hit the floors of Block VI to seek contributions for the event. Chetan & Sudhir decided to join us in the evening. We covered close to 2 floors & decided to complete the rest later in the evening.
We had all decided to organize the screening of dances behind closed doors scheduled for today. Mr. Padmanabhan (Uday's dad) offered to give us one of his vacant flats for practice. Thanks a million sir for this kind offer. We are all grateful to you. We had the music systems arranged & we were set.
Around 2:30PM, it was a mad rush, we witnessed something we do when we watch 2 school teachers guiding a bunch of kids from the play park back into the school. The 2 teachers were Anupama & Kiran di & the bunch of kids numbered close to 20. Man! our excitement doubled at the sight & we all started the screening process. Manisha & Archana di joined us & they were encouraging the kids performing. One more addition to the dance group was one from the Tower block. Their performance was laudable & soon we can expect a ladies dance troupe from that block. Beware, we have competition!! :) (a healthy one!)
I would definitely be naming the groups who performed today but on a later date. Hands across my heart, today's dances performed by our Skyline kids was such a wonderful visual treat, our hands still ache having applauded each performance. We experienced all sorts of dances, we had Michael Jackson clones, we had marathi isstyle dancers, we had some cool bollywood style performances, what not!!!
I am sure everyone witnessing this year end bash are in for a treat!!!
Later in the evening, we had the Bench boys (Harsha, Babloo, Bhargav, Prashant) performing their dance & we were so impressed with the moves, even we decided to be a part of it. Its gonna be a BOMB! the music, the moves, the jhatkas, guarantee aap ke chairs se HATKAAS.!! :P Special thanks to Swapna who volunteered to help us improve our steps & she made sure we all got it right. Thanks again & we are all eager to witness ur carnage on the stage on the d-day. I am sure u have a bagful of wonderful moves that would impress one & all.
Sudhir, Chetan & Vinay joined us sometime later & we performed our dance once again. We continued till 9 & decided to change venue to our blocks basement. I guess someone complained of the sound from our flat & he/she got mentally constipated to have us evacuate from that place.
To the ones who felt this annoying & who complained " Sorry folks! we already have a new venue with all the required setup. Just that if ever, i mean ever, should i find you taking a sneak peak of what's happening during our rehearsals, I will have that big fat a$$ whipped by a retired janitor who has forgotten how to be human!!! Beware!
Phew, I know ur eyes are watering having being glued to this post since a while now, i will put them to rest, but,.......BUT, only for a while though, cos tomorrow therz lot more fun as we hit the tar to Block II & III. More drama, action, emotion, loose motion.....we have got it all!!! this is SKYNITE 2010!!!!! sab evento ka BAAP!

The Second Wednesday
On any given day, I hate Wednesdays! Mid day of the week....longing for the weekend...!.....BUT! today was a fruitful day for the dance troop...having got all the dance moves right in less than a week.....we were all affirmative in moving forward onto our next.....
Lemme take the space in naming the ones to nail todays routine....There ones today!!!...Mithun, Uday, Sudhir, BP, Chetan, Abeer, Archana Anupama & Kiran di & Vikas!!! all practiced till midnight making sure each one of them got their moves right! We are all set!!! we are now moving on, on our gags, skits & sponsors!
We will be uploading some pics by tomorrow!!! real good ones!!!
Foreseeing a long weekend, we all have tasks lined up for this weekend! we hope to cover up as much as possible so that lil' remains for the following week...
we are all excited as much we can get, hope to see u around n exchange greetings on the d-day!

Your neighbour becomes your family, your surrounding becomes your garden & people walking in your garden become your family........now! can you ignore ur family???

Tuesday!
Yo!
With the d-day nearing, the aggression is growing, practice sessions are longer, work load is increasing!!! in sum, it's FUN!!!!
As scheduled, we saw all the faces tonight for the practice. We were joined by Kiran & Anupama di & they were pretty quick in pickin up the moves. Chetan & Mithun gatecrashed straight from their offices & Abeer dived down straight from her kitchen onto the dance floor. UD, Sudhir, Manisha & Archana di, BP & Vikas were later joined by Vinay & his better half for the practice. Today, we had real good fun as many of us got the moves right & the flow was just perfect! FYI, none of us have the exp. of dancing & flexing for such moves. :) I am sure this dance is gonna be a super hit, first day first show, pukka house full!!!!!!!!!! :P
Chetan, Mithun, BP, Manisha di, Archana di & Abeer need no attention anymore...they can be thrown on the dance floor anytime....Sudhir is just a step away...just some moves to reach perfection....UD needs a lil practice, Vinay is used to switching indicators, his hand movements are pretty funny..hes already workin on it n tomorrow he will unleash his dancing skills.....Kiran & Anupama di just joined us today....they have picked up fast..they are shaping up well for the dance.......for sure! a visual treat!!!!!!.Lastly, ME! yeah! yeah! i will learn! i said I WILL!!!!!!! grrrrrr!
We will see a better tomorrow as we are quite sure to wrap this particular dance & move forward with other gags & skits...
We would be continuing these sessions everyday until the d-day. We gotta work on lot of skits/gags & also work on the funds!!! Mamma mia!!!
One more surprise package awaits from Darshan, Babloo & Harsha (in fact their group). They are also workin on a funny dance/skit....they are keepin it under wraps & we have our detectives working to decode that.
Yeah! thats about it for today! pics & videos would be up soon on our blog...i bettcha they are gonna be really funny!!!! keep watchin this space!
One personal query! does anyone around knows how to prepare Shavige uppit (vermicilli)?? Sorry for being shameless & using this medium to feed myself but i am DAMN hungry to hog on that delicacy!!!

Lonely lonely lonely monday morning!
Awright!
Back from dinner! was just takin a walk up the entrance, saw the glittering flex banner, now doesn't that make u all happy?!!!!!! bettcha!
Well! nothing much really happens on a monday and we did second that today!
Mithun had a very tiring day at work & turned up late for dinner @ home....UD was busy with his college & ahh! never mind! i was pretty much dusting my tenants car!
Sudhir shared with us a good news! he was able to secure a sponsor for the event & it brought smiles on many faces!! Indeed an achievement while we are ringing the bells, hammering the ears since last noon. Thanks to Chetan & Sudhir, we have one in our kitty now.. We have already sown our "SPONSOR US" seeds in other places, we expect to hear from them by the 25th.
We are yet to reach the ladies responsible for starting the screening. Quite sure that they have received a healthy response.
Monday being an account opening day for most of us, we had to skip our regular practice & re-schedule it for Tuesday @ 9PM. Chetan was not bothered, I was informed that he skipped his morning yoga sessions & practiced our dance! See the dedication! yet he was all geared up if we re-grouped tonight! Sudhir was open to shake a leg post dinner if it happened. At last, we had to call it off & we will b back again tomorrow night rehearsing for our Block V Maintenance staff (read our regular practice ground). I am sure they have seen so much of us, doing that, that they are well equipped to join us on the stage on the d-day if need be! :)
Lastly, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Bhavana, Chaitra, Shreya & Vidya who are keen in associating with us & extend their support by taking up suitable tasks. Girls! welcome to the group! Lets converge tomorrow at 9PM & discuss on how we can work together. Again! thanks for your support & look forward to getting associated with more of em' in the coming days!

Sunday!
Phew!!! that was tiring!!!! man! i can hardly feel my legs! someone really made me dance!!! after a decade!!! but feels good!
Started the day a lil late at the stroke of noon...we decided to start collecting funds from Block V residents. Mithun, Chetan, Sudhir, Vikas, UD & myself hit the floors & until lunch, hardly made 2 grands! We weren't disappointed as we had many more flats & floors to cover. Since it was around lunch time, we shifted focus to meeting prospective sponsors in and around chandra layout. We did meet a few & we are quite sure would convert them in a couple of days.
Later in the evening, we were joined by Abeer for the collections from Block I & the remainder of Block V. Man! we were impressed with the collections that followed for the next 2 hours. By 8, we had good amount of collections (though yet to hit the half mark)
Since we had most of the team around that time, we decided to hit the dance floor to check our moves. man! we all were good...just that we got a carton full of MOOV...ouch! it still hurts! anyways, we all practiced for one of our surprise packaged dance & it turned out pretty cool. Manisha di was our dance instructor & Archana di & Sudhir joined us during the second half of our practice & they were impressive. Abeer was good right from the start, Chetan faced some spanking before he got his moves right & now perfect, mithun, uday, BP n myself were corrected timely by manisha di before we got into the grooove. I guess we need a couple of more hours to get that good grip & we would all be set to burn the dance floor.
Thats it for today! Got queries for volunteers & gotta meet them tomorrow.

Saturday night!
Woohoo!
First our flex banner floated next to the flag post! The second one will be up by tomorrow morning....!!!
Later in the day, we celebrated one of our volunteers b'day at a nice spot near skyline, we got the cake, the candles n .....fun!!! :P Warm wishes Darshan!!!!
Coming to the point....the meeting at night saw a new face joining us..... Abeer ( hope i have spelled that right)...she is one of the happy faces joining us on the stage....an anchor in the making....watch out for more on the d-day!
We had Subhash, Mithun, Chetan, UD (Uday), Vikas, Smitha, Sujatha, Abeer, Manisha, Naveen & myself spending a good amount of time finalizing on the sponsors, screening, events etc.......in sum! we are moving ahead!
Tomorrow being a very important day, we will start campaigning for sponsors & hope that we succeed in securing our additional working capital. We are also lined up for practicing our gags, for sure this is gonna surprise you on the d-day! Happy to see many of our volunteers joining us in our efforts to make this a huge success....
Good news is that we were able to gather seed money from our volunteers to get started with our advanced payments for the stage & the lightning....We hope to see more people join hands & contribute with great generosity!!!

Friday!
Alright!!!
The Saturday meet is raising many a eye brows, all waiting for the showdown. Dont worry! we wont disappoint you.
A rather productive day post lunch....UD, BP & Mithun workin on the gags, brain storming on the scripts while I was returning from a free lunch!
Come evening, Ganesh, UD, BP n Mithun flexed themselves to fetch the new 6X2 banners which should be up tomorrow. Pretty neat work & thanks to Sudhir & Chetan, they eased our work off, on the banners!
Chetan visited the Tower block today to get first hand info on the interest levels of the residents. Pretty promising and more updates await us this weekend when Chetan would revisit them this weekend.
Fridays! all in a weekend mood gave our regular practice a miss, promising to be available all day on saturday!
We are pretty much on schedule, but for the sponsors. We are gonna address this issue tomorrow morning & hope to fall back on track later in the day. My bad! i have delayed a couple of things! wont happen again!!!
One more addition to our team, Mr Nikhil (runners-up in Badminton- who fought till the last drop of his blood to win against the Padmanabhan clan who have been ruling the court since 1867!) :) post mutiny!!!! :P)). He is keen to loosen his muscles on the stage on the D-day! A warm welcome to him into our family!
A couple of more volunteers jumped in today, sorry to have missed out on the names, will surely update tomorrow.

Please refrain from calling me, to be the first to know. I have already received more than 7 calls since an hour. With due respect to each one of you, I re-iterate, with all respect (read ALL!!!!), please be patient till saturday as I have discussed this with our Seniors in Skyline involved in this event & they have expressed a Stay order on this until we meet the Federation tomorrow evening, or slash the idea & go ahead, minus the FEDS. Either ways, you will be knowing this on Saturday.

It has been observed that the posters up next to the lifts have been torn into two in almost all the blocks.
We have identified the person who is behind this. Thanks to the Skyline staff having witnessed it reported immediately to us. Thanks to Mithun & Uday for having struck a deal with all the staff :)
Organizing Committee! after having spoken to one of the seniors here, we have decided to write to the Federation about this person tomorrow evening & expect action.
Please make sure that all the volunteers are available on Saturday for the scheduled meeting at 9PM (V Block). We would be revealing the name & the committee would discuss on the action against the person. We are also planning to invite the Fed Heads if possible. Also the witness has expressed his willingness to be available.
Team, we need maximum attendance on this day as this act is highly unacceptable. We should make sure that proper action is taken. I expect the core team to group at my den on saturday at 8PM. Please comfirm at the earliest.
Lastly, i couldnt really update the blog with the latest updates as I was deeply disturbed since noon after having got to know the person behind it.

Mid week meeting today at 9:00PM
Folks,
As scheduled, mid-week meeting today (Wednesday) at 9:00PM in the office of the Association of Block V.
New Volunteers invited. Rest of the gang is always there.
Also, some past events saw a dynamic, mischievous, shameless, quick, witty anchor in the name of Amar. Hold on! he is not gonna be around this time, he is busy preparin himself for the Christmas with wine & BBQ. But, he is gonna be around with us through this blog.
He will be up with his quick humor, suggestions, "Doo kya kaan ke niche" attitude & lots more of gyan.

between our discussions last night, we were just toying with the idea of inviting residents of the Tower block to be a part of this mega event. Soon it picked pace & we would be initiating the discussion with them today having zeroed in on some key persons in that block who would be mighty interested in this offer.

If you are badly lookin for a similar job, please do let us know, we are the best persons to help you with that. Else, keep attending your ailing folks & friends before they start ripping your neighbors apart (I am sure they are still lookin for a wall).

Manic Monday
Folks!
We are growing!!!! A mid day meet with the ladies from diff blocks (to be named in the next post) had Mithun & Uday gasping for air. So many queries, tips, questions...man! they were armed & they had it all. Finally, our boys walked out smiling & guess there was a good feedback on the activities & everyone were interested in knowing their role in the event. We are in the process of defining them & soon we will see members from all the blocks chipping in their bit for this mega event.
And yes! some mischief mongers (call em' idiots) were pulling down our banners in Block I. We had to just laugh it off, it means we are noticed & a sense of insecurity is creepin in! Anyways, god bless them while we continue in our efforts to guide this into a huge success.
Come evening! we saw a group of young ones practicing some gags for the event. We were happy to provide our support & we did judge them for a while. Indeed! they were impressive! :-) Hard to believe that such good talent does exist in Skyline. All it needs is a push.
Late night, we spent some time with Chethan & he helped us out with ideas on brochures & formats for approvals. Mithun & Uday spent the afternoon updating the posters & workin on some new concepts for the bash.
I guess our next major update would be on Wednesday night when we converge our mid week meeting to discuss on the activities & the next steps.

Sunday night
Back from the meeting!
This has been a very productive day! Started with updating our banners with the event listing, registration & deadlines. Surprisingly, we have had 8 registrations since then. Seems like we can expect some real good participation this time.
Just to update you on the new additions, we would like to extend our warm welcome to Mr. Balakrishna & Mr. Saraf (from Block VI) who are now officially a part of our family for this event. Their years of experience having scanned millions of faces in their profession, instantly hit the cord with our team once we met today evening.
Bala (with due respect)has been an active participant in previous events & we are quite sure he has some new stuffz up his sleeves for this year end.
Saraf (again with due respect) is immensely pleased with the buzz around in Skyline. Having not seen such hulla since quite a while, he has extended his full support to the team.
Well, our weekly meeting saw most of our think-tanks attending: Subhash, Sudhir, Chetan, Bala, Mithun & Uday. An hour of animated discussions on various issues cleared many of our inhibitions of seeing the daylight for this event.
Finally, major issues were addressed, efforts to simplify & resolve them were made & guess we can now concentrate on building the event.
Last but not the least, we would like to introduce our new energetic teammate Mr. Vikas who will be actively involved in our activities & a surprise package from him awaits you on the D-day!
All said, we seem to be growing comfortably day by day. We would be glad to have you on-board if you are interested.
Do shoot us an email, call us, gate crash, anything.... we are always open for fresh talents.

still no sign of the helpdesk handling Block II & III. The posters should have been up by now, all I see is that undusted wall & an ailing notice board.
anyways, tomorrow the sun shines better , as they say, we have a big day ahead! meeting with the fed guys, chethan, sudhir, bala & subhash! hope they pocket our ideas n give us that BIG FAT NOD on our thought that we plan to rip the crowd apart on the D-Day!

Phew!
finally our banners r up the walls now...yeah! just that breaking the Block VI code & convincing the punters might take us one more day. Otherwise, we are pretty much on track now having covered Block V & I with Block II & III pending till evening.
Well! I guess we should be up with our event list soon so that we can get enquiries on the participants. Therz gonna be dance, trivia, a lil bit of singing, quick & crazy ads, music & loads more. Just that we are workin on squeezing in the best of the talents would take us some time. But no worries, keep watchin this space so that you could be the one first on the list! :)

All said n done! we r BACK! our last stinct aroused many a eye brows, we are undetered, passionate about things we do, we move forward turning a new leaf (call it, TREE!)
we present you, SKYNITE, an evening, some will remember, some will pass, those who remember remain in our phonebook, those who forget always get an another chance!
