Thursday & Friday! this is big!!

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

yeah! i know! no updates since yesterday & many were fuming! man! since last noon we have picked so much pace that we hardly had the time to catch good sleep.

Since this is a long weekend, everyone had the time to invest in shaping this event & we have witnessed a big turnout since last noon.

Thursday night was damn tiring as we worked 5 hours straight from 9 to 2 in the morning. we worked on new gags, practiced on the old ones, what not! Abeer was the first to turn up followed by Mithun, BP, UD & me. Kiran di & Anupama di joined us & later saw Vinay, Chetan & Aditya walk in to join us. 30 mins of dance practice & kiran & anupama di took leave. We continued practicing our gags, brainstorming on editing most of the gags & its come out pretty neat & improved.

At the stroke of midnight, we all exchanged christmas wishes & sipped on some wine. :-)

around 12:30 in the morning, Vinay & Chetan bid us goodbye & the rest of the gang continued to burn more calories. Abeer who had left for the day around 11 turned up again at the stroke of midnight, she said she dint really want to miss on the new gags & she too bagged a meaty role in some of them. Thanks Abeer for the support & involvement. Just that dont forgot to treat us on ur home made sweets on the d-day! :)

At the stroke of 2am, we decided to take a break & regroup in a couple of hours. Abeer left for home & Mithun, BP, Aditya & UD dived straight onto the dining table at my place. We have packed some biryani from Deewar & the 5 hungry dogs hogged so bad that I guess the chickens were thinking " ye saale log haddi bhi nahi chodd te" :)

3 in the morning, no one knows who crashed in which room & space, we opened eyes only at 10am.

12 noon (friday).....entire team regrouped. We also saw new additions from block VI & III. Bala uncle joined us & we decided to hit the floors of Block VI to seek contributions for the event. Chetan & Sudhir decided to join us in the evening. We covered close to 2 floors & decided to complete the rest later in the evening.

We had all decided to organize the screening of dances behind closed doors scheduled for today. Mr. Padmanabhan (Uday's dad) offered to give us one of his vacant flats for practice. Thanks a million sir for this kind offer. We are all grateful to you. We had the music systems arranged & we were set.

Around 2:30PM, it was a mad rush, we witnessed something we do when we watch 2 school teachers guiding a bunch of kids from the play park back into the school. The 2 teachers were Anupama & Kiran di & the bunch of kids numbered close to 20. Man! our excitement doubled at the sight & we all started the screening process. Manisha & Archana di joined us & they were encouraging the kids performing. One more addition to the dance group was one from the Tower block. Their performance was laudable & soon we can expect a ladies dance troupe from that block. Beware, we have competition!! :) (a healthy one!)

I would definitely be naming the groups who performed today but on a later date. Hands across my heart, today's dances performed by our Skyline kids was such a wonderful visual treat, our hands still ache having applauded each performance. We experienced all sorts of dances, we had Michael Jackson clones, we had marathi isstyle dancers, we had some cool bollywood style performances, what not!!!

I am sure everyone witnessing this year end bash are in for a treat!!!

Later in the evening, we had the Bench boys (Harsha, Babloo, Bhargav, Prashant) performing their dance & we were so impressed with the moves, even we decided to be a part of it. Its gonna be a BOMB! the music, the moves, the jhatkas, guarantee aap ke chairs se HATKAAS.!! :P Special thanks to Swapna who volunteered to help us improve our steps & she made sure we all got it right. Thanks again & we are all eager to witness ur carnage on the stage on the d-day. I am sure u have a bagful of wonderful moves that would impress one & all.

Sudhir, Chetan & Vinay joined us sometime later & we performed our dance once again. We continued till 9 & decided to change venue to our blocks basement. I guess someone complained of the sound from our flat & he/she got mentally constipated to have us evacuate from that place.

To the ones who felt this annoying & who complained " Sorry folks! we already have a new venue with all the required setup. Just that if ever, i mean ever, should i find you taking a sneak peak of what's happening during our rehearsals, I will have that big fat a$$ whipped by a retired janitor who has forgotten how to be human!!! Beware!

Phew, I know ur eyes are watering having being glued to this post since a while now, i will put them to rest, but,.......BUT, only for a while though, cos tomorrow therz lot more fun as we hit the tar to Block II & III. More drama, action, emotion, loose motion.....we have got it all!!! this is SKYNITE 2010!!!!! sab evento ka BAAP!
