at around 2 in the morning (thats the time we just wrapped up for the day) here i am updating u on some exciting activities surrounding the new year eve.
Post 11PM, loads of frantic discussions on various things sucked up all the energy & made everyone crash onto their beds. I am still up milking some of the energy i gained from bourbon biscuits & special mangalore nippats (thanks to mithun's mom)!!!
Everyone had a hard day today...Lemme begin with the noon stuff!
a mela in the making, we all gathered in our new flat (courtesy-Uday's dad) for the practice & everyone assembled for the final screening. We had Kiran di to walk in first with our troupe of Mithun, Uday, BP followed by Harsha, Bhargav, Babloo, Pramod, Prashant. We freaked on some butter cookies before we welcomed all the tiny tots for the screening. Chetan (our laptop aid) & Manisha di with their siblings joined us & Sanjana di (pls correct me if I am wrong) with her gang jumped in for the act.
What followed was a grueling session of practice, editing, multiple suggestions, what not! the kids really received the inputs & feedback in a positive manner & showed aggression in improving their performances. Man, all were damn good but our lady volunteers just prompted to tweek it a bit & all we had was a happy ending with the kids promising their best performance on the dias.
Minus the kids, we decided to do the routine of practicing our dance followed by the the Bench boys! They floored the audience & received sincere appreciations from one & all.
The ladies had to take off & we decided to head for a snack when the rain gods decided to embrace us.
Being stuck in the flat with no one to feed, we continued our journey! loads of practice!!!!!!
With drops of sparkling water on our heads, we decided to head to all the blocks of skyline to cover the flats who promised us funds for the event. The next one hour saw Abeer,Mithun, Uday, BP & Aditya work their a$$ off to make sure they cover each and every 1200 sqft.
Whatta effort! it was around 8:50Pm & since the meeting was scheduled at 9PM, we decided to head to Block V basement & make the basic arrangements for the meet.
I headed out for a quick grub & on my return I was welcomed by some new faces who were eager to be a part of this event.
Komal, Bhavana, Shreya & Vidya had already exchanged pleasantries with the gang of Mithun, Kiran di, Uday, BP, Abeer & Chetan. Manisha di & sudhir joined us later. We discussed on various issues & we were happy to have the new team gellin well with all o them & pumping new ideas into the acts.
A few performances in front of the new crowd (new attendees) saw welcomed suggestions from them. Post their departure, was a brainstorming on the culinary aspects for the d-day. Manisha di hung on for quite a while until her kids wanted to hit the sack.
A debate that followed for more than 2 hours arrived at a conclusion of finalizing on the menu for dinner on the d-day plus the labor involved in arranging it. The most laborious task of any event was well directed by the entire team & we hope to see the daylight for this task tomorrow evening. With major tasks being given to BP & Uday, we hope to seal the deal in the next 2 days. Abeer warmly invited the task of gathering more heads for the dances & arranging drinking water facility for the audience with the help of UD. Thanks to them as they address the most needed!
Other finer aspects of the event were discussed for long & we ended the day at 2 in the morning with a good night!
Now, with the least energy to even bid goodbye, i end this post with a warm hug to all!
